OVERVIEW

After the successful launch of the Wait Times feature in the Epic Mix App, Vail asked Mondo Robot to reimagine their flagship digital experience from the ground up. The MyEpic App is an opportunity for Vail to revolutionize the snow industry by introducing digital lift access in the form of a mobile pass, utilizing the guest's phone as the Bluetooth beacon removing the need for physical passes. In addition to the mobile pass, the app houses interactive trail maps and unique content for 37+ ski resorts, personalized stats and tracking, a global landing page for all of the guest's MyEpic account information, and much more.

As Lead Designer on this project, it was my responsibility to partner with the client and bring the product vision to life, while managing a small team and ensuring a proper handoff with the in-house engineering team. The app launched successfully in November of 2023 and has since been in use this current winter season by hundreds of thousands of guests across North America.
